Another Life by Nelson Trias

An undiscovered sun
in lifeless space,
except for dazzling lights
like satellites above
elysian fields of gold wheat.

Ancient spirits number
more than all the grains of
sand in all the cosmos,
but by the breath of God
they find each other--souls
brilliantly colored
illumined by diffused
rays of pure tenderness.

It was here.
Light filtered
by the will of God that
two immortal spirits
joined in a temporal
life before assuming

us

disengaged from the
undiscovered sun's pull.

Was that you?

So familiar the
first time I beheld you
that I was certain in
Another life

two souls

met in Elysium.
lights pulsating in an
Elliptical orbit
around the heart of God.
