The time of evil has arrived
      when costumed figures frolic free
From house to house by lantern light
collecting bounty from you and me

Innocent fun, to be sure
      for children of every age
For true evil wears a smiling mask
      beneath which havoc is staged

Worry not about the pumpkin’s glowing eye
but concern yourself with the sight of a gun
Fret not about the ghostly tales
      beware instead the velvet tongue

Though tales of witches and demons
      make our blood run cold
Continuous whispers of war
wear away at our very souls

Storybook ghouls wail and moan
      in dark and deserted places
Real life politicians laugh, shaking hands
as they plan the destruction of races

So learn well my friends what to fear
Not the weirdly obvious, but the overly sincere.....
