Welcome to the October/November issue of Purr.

Happy Halloween!!!

I love Halloween, I love the costumes, the scary sights and sounds. The crispness in the air. The pumpkin pie baking. Ummm!

Should I be like everyone else in thinking.....This is the last Halloween of this century! It seems a lot of things are being listed as the last. I guess it is the 'last' that really bothers me. Its like they are agreeing with the dome and gloomers out there. I bet they are having a field day with all the disasters happening. One big question I have is......."If they are so sure its all going to end at midnight, why are they not acting more Holy?" If they were this world would already be a better place!!!

What people also do not realize is that every second of every day is and end and a beginning. The past is was a second ago and the future is in the next second. Life is only this very instant! It is only this second of life that is real and counts.

Just think, its almost the 21st Century! Where is my Robot????????? Where is the robot that everyone can afford that thinks, communicates, cleans, cooks, watches the kids???? I've wanted one for 30 years now!! I'm still waiting!!!

I know the dome and gloomers of life say, but that is another possible down fall of mankind! Hey! I watched the same Sci-Fi movies and still want one!! If you don't want the movies to come true, you should have started saving this planet years ago!!!

You don't want the central one world computer, the one card that does it all? You don't want your every move tracked by someone?

How many sticky notes did you scribble on and toss away today? How many paper plates do you use a week? Paper cups? Are they Styrofoam or paper?

How many newspapers did you just toss out???

How many houses were built this year? How many cars?

How many of you bought wood to barricade against a hurricane this year? How much of that wood did you then just burn?

How much food did you waste today?

What did you do with that chemical when you were done using it? Dump it on the ground? OK, so it was not hazardous, it was still a chemical...man made. Was it biodegradable?

How many lights did you leave on when you left home?

...and several others
We take food from the earth to survive and give back chemical waste. We build house, waste paper, contaminate water and then sit back and wonder why the world is slowly heading towards a one world computer and cards to do everything with. Actually at the rate we are going we have no choice.

That last tree you just cut down, well, it was our last natural source of oxygen. So, don't complain to me about the smell of manmade and controlled air.

Sorry, Baby, did you forgot that tree gave off oxygen so now we breathe this man made oxygen in this dome covered planet, which now is controlled by the bad guys. Is it my fault???? Actually, yes it is!

Every time you take and not give back in any shape or form you are in fact to blame for where we are and where we end up. We all are part of this world and what happens to it is all of our responsibilities. So just take a moment now and then and think about it!

In November we have Thanksgiving. Take this Thanksgiving and give thanks for all that you have. Take the time to thank your friends and family for being who they are and part of your life. Give thanks to God, The Universe, Buddha, or what ever is the symbol of your beliefs. Give thanks to the artists of the world for sharing their talents with us. The musicians, the writers, the painters, the sculptures, actors and even nature, for they give life beauty. Take the time to look at your life. Think about where you want to be in the 21st century and start working towards it now. Remember to give back to life not just take from it. If we all do then eventually life will be better for everyone!

Take Care!
