They would meet on-line and created The Athens Avenue Poetry Circle. A group of poets from around the world that would get together on-line to write and talk about poetry. Their work for the most part has mainly been seen only on the Web. You have seen Doug Tanoury's poems in Purr before. Other sites you have seen their work are The Poetry Cafe,The 12 Gauge Review and many more.

They decided to take their poems to press and created the book Athens Avenue - A Collection of Poetry. Six different poets, different writing styles giving us a great collection of poems. The following are samples of the poems by each poet. (Note: These are only parts of a complete poem)

If you like poetry it is a book you should add to your collection. I found that people would see the book, pick it up, scan through it, then walk off with it to read it. It was the hardest book I have to try to keep track of. Well worth your time to check out!
