Blue Yard Garden - No Good Sundays

The CD starts out rather unusual with a clip that makes you think a cartoon is going to start. In my first initial quick scan of the CD I came across several of these clips of talking and of a video game being played. My first impression was....I like these guys. They have taken some very serious music and made it fun.

They were described to me as a roots rock band with a home grown sound. I would agree with this but don't like the phrase 'home grown'. It makes me think of something less then it is. I know 'home grown' sets aside 'better' in some areas but I don't think in music that is true. I would rather say a band with a 'real heart and soul' sound to their music. Their music grips you deep inside with rhythm. The music and vocals are tight, strong and diverse. A very talented band.

I really could not pick a favorite song on the CD and there was none that I least liked. An excellent array of music and vocals that anyone would enjoy. The music is light hearted and fun with a touch of jazz and touch of blues. A band to definitely keep your eye on!
