At the end of 1970's there was no scene for '60s garage music. No label released it. Less than a handfull of bands played it. Then came Voxx Records, and over the course of a decade, everthing changed.
Voxx was as much a concept as a record label. The idea was to present young bands doing pure mid-'60s roots music:garage, psych, surf, beat, fold-rock and various hybrids thereof. The concept went still further and not only had to sound authentic, but would also be presented in glorious lo-fi mono, packaged in black & white, and with 1966 list price of $3.99. Except for the last (which proved economically impossible), those guidelines were often maintained.
Be a Caveman is music from 1979 - 1990. You want to get back to basics? You want to see how and where it all started? Do you want to hear lost remains of some damn good music? This is your CD to listen to! Its Great!
The Tracks:
If you have a music collection, this is a must have CD. Most these songs have only been on vinyl until this CD.
