"We don't condone violence, we, much like our music, are just representations of the violent world around us...in the long run, everybody cries."

FLOOD: Bone crushing, back breaking in your face rock from a band that is extending the finger and inviting the whole to sit and rotate--- Johnny Blade

FLOOD is the music that reminds us to never bring a knife to a gunfight and always lock the doors at night, regardless. The second offering from this Nashville area band is placing them well within the reach of the A&R reps swinging their wood on the back 9. How anyone as soft spoken as Mark Slaughter, vocalist and guitarist for FLOOD, can or does write such in your fucking face hard core material that they bring to life on the tracks of "Trip Wire" is beyond me. However, FLOOD does represent the new order of serial musicians for those socially and psychologically oppressed pit wolves. If you have ever watched Dan Rather and wondered: "What the hell is going on?" Then FLOOD is your first day in class. When you try to understand the madness of the reality that feeds today's youth, listen to FLOOD and understand. When you are finally, if you are not already, sick and tired of the same old industry bullshit being shoved down your throat, FLOOD is an earshot away. Now with opening credits for Static X and tracks on the extreme sports video Free To Fly, FLOOD is taking a bite of the big apple. Unlike Rage Against The Machine, which invokes the minds of the masses, this band expresses the needs, desires and turmoil of the individual. Sometimes music speaks louder than words on paper or through a corporate muse, thank you very much. FLOOD is just now finding what every young successful musician has to learn...yeah, sure, music is my heart and soul, and I'll be there when I get there but we'll all get there together...cause...we are all in this together. Amen.

Peace
Johnny Blade
