As the curtain rises, enter stage right...

After coordinating some of New York City's most successful events at venues, such as Speeed and Carbon, Elijah Wells, President of Elijah Wells Entertainment, Inc., has unquestionably set the stage for his latest and greatest event to date, simply entitled "The Stage."

The crowd rises to a standing ovation...

Constructed under intense bravado, "The Stage" is a new monthly talent showcase series, designed to offer opportunities for unsigned and independent recording artists, comedians, and producers to display their skills in front of record company executives, casting directors, and countless other key decision makers. On Wednesday, November 29th, 8:00 p.m., the first production of "The Stage" will be presented at Wetlands, which is located at 161 Hudson Street in Manhattan, New York. To be hosted by Hot 97's Fat Man Scoop, the event promises to deliver stellar performances by 30 of hip-hop and R&B's top unsigned and independent acts. Selected acts will then be chosen for "The Stage's" compilation album series, for future release on Addicted Records. Following the showcase, there will be an after party at Wetlands, which will feature New York City's premiere DJs, Bobitto The Barber and Hot 97's Chypha Soundz.

Tickets for "The Stage" will be sold for $10.00 in advance and $20.00 at the door. As an added incentive for people to attend, MTV will be present at the event, conducting a casting call for their live interactive program, "Direct Effect (DFX)." The program is hosted by Teck $ Holmes, from "The Real World: Hawaii," "Real World/Road Rules Challenge 2000," and "Say What? Karaoke," as well as Funkmaster Flex, who is a well-known DJ and producer on both coasts and all points in between. A casting call and modeling search will also be conducted for XXL's "Eye Candy."

Sponsors of "The Stage" include Addicted Records; XXL; Platform.net; George & Anreder, Attorneys at Law; UBO.net; Guardian Records, and iCast.com. A clothing sponsor will be selected to further help brand the event through the fashion industry. Additional sponsorship opportunities and performance slots on upcoming productions of "The Stage" are currently available.

The crowd pleads for an encore...
