A little pop, a little rock and mix of folk with lots of beat is what you will find in Glen Closer’s Pine View Grocery. I can see them finding their own following of fans mainly in the college areas. The band is talented and the music is well mixed. It is a CD thought that you might want to check out!

This is what the band says about itself:

What started, as a songwriters recording coop soon became a trio on stage. Something interesting happened on a rainy night in a small Jersey Shore bar. A group of regular patrons, with no allegiance whatsoever to the trio on stage looked up from their drinks and listened to the band. By the end of the set full of infections hooks and thoughtful lyrics, they wanted more. Such is the poetry of songwriting and this is Glen Closer.

Johnna White was previously a front woman for Jersey shore favorites Count 210. Johnna brings the same enthusiasm to Glen Closer adding warm and intricate bass playing as well as her vocal technique.

Joe Rubin’s talents have been shared with audiences before with bands like Saint Maybe and Jerseys own Film. Joe’s drumming provides a solid foundation for the Glen Closer material. He also adds to the band’s distinctive sound with his vocals leads and harmonies

Jim Baeszler reprise’s his role as Rubin’s partner in Saint Maybe and Film. Jim’s guitar stylings helped to round out the trio’s musical arrangements. He also adds poetic lyrics to match the bands melodic sensibility.

Joe Rubin – Drums, percussion, vocals
Johnna White – Bass, vocals
Jim Baeszler – Guitars, vocals
