Ed Hale and Transcendence
"Rise and Shine"
Ed Hale & the Transcendence is a Miami based alternative/modern rock band with a twist of their own style. They call their music planet music due to the blend of different styles of music used through out their songs. The music is diverse and up beat with an excellent blend of vocals complimenting the music.

They say they very from ‘70’s glam of David Bowie, the modern glam of Pulp, the experimental alternative sounds of Radiohead and the straight ahead rock of U2. I would tend to agree with this adding that the varies styles are at times all blended into one song showing the bands diversity: A touch of jazz, a touch of Latino, a touch of rap and a touch of this and a touch of that the band keeps an energizing beat.

“We wanted to create a record that embodied our individual experiences and truly captured our love of many different styles of music,” said Ed Hale, singer, songwriter and guitarist for the band. I believe they successfully succeeded in their intent. I feel the band has fun playing their music, which at no time is there a boring song or score.

Ed Hale and Transcendence is a very talented band. “Rise and Shine” is a truly enjoyable CD.

Interesting note: The bands artwork is plant oriented with a touch of spiritual oneness. I also found it interesting that the band notes on the back page of its CD insert a list of organization to help the planet or people.
