I say your name in my pillow
within a quilted half-inch place
called eternity
so that only I can hear it.
I'm desperate to see you
with messy morning hair
and bad breath
because in the morning
you have a touch
that's just short of paradise!
So let your kisses echo through
my so-called vision
and each time I blink, I see you.
And deep words will not suffice
because they drip from my mind
and stampede
in tiny droplets that have unity.
